When can I move in?

If there is a storage space available that meets your specific storage needs, you can move in anytime during normal access hours.

How much notice needs to be given before I move out?

All contracts are month-to-month. However, we do require a 2-day notice before you move out.

What type of documentation do I need to provide in order to rent a space?

We require a government-issued photo ID (example: driver’s license, provincial ID, or passport).

Do I need to sign a long-term lease?

No, we rent on a month-to-month basis unless the customer requests otherwise.

How do I make a payment?

You can pay in person, mail a cheque or make a payment through our website. You may also sign up to have payments automatically deducted from your credit card/savings/chequing account monthly. First payment must be cash/debit or credit card, after the first payment we can accept cheques and automatic payments.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cheques, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Debit, and cash.

How long is my rental rate protected?

Your rental rate is protected for the first nine months of your tenancy. After that period, rates

may be adjusted periodically based on market conditions, operating costs, and

investments made to maintain and improve our facilities. If a rate adjustment is

necessary, we will provide a minimum of 30 days' notice before it takes effect.

At U-Lock, we work hard to keep our rates competitive while continuing to provide clean, secure, and well-maintained storage facilities for our customers.

Do you sell boxes and storage supplies?

Yes. We sell various moving supplies in our office.

How do I know how much storage space I will need?

You can either use our Storage Calculator on our website or call our manager for assistance.

Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?

Liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials, perishables, E-bikes, and lithium batteries. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.

Does there have to be someone in the office to let me through the security gates?

No. At the time of signing you will be given your own security access code that will allow you access to your unit during normal access hours.

Do you have handcarts and dollies available at your facility?

Yes. You are welcome to use our complimentary carts to move in.

Can I arrange deliveries and pickups from the facility?

Yes, we can work with you to receive deliveries and pickup.
