Robert Madsen

Hello and welcome to my page!

I’m the President of the U-Lock Mini Storage Group, President of the Vancouver Island Self Storage Association and Director of the Canadian Self Storage Association.   Born into the industry, I grew up eating and sleeping self-storage and now have more than 25 years of professional experience in the industry. I’m the second generation of self storage ownership in my family and made my start building and cleaning lockers, progressing to Sales Representative, Manager and ultimately owner and President of the company.  I’m also a moderator for www.selfstoragetalk.com , the industry’s largest online community.

I pride myself on being active in my industry and community.  Consequently, I am a Charter Member (2001) and Past President of the Rotary Club of Steveston in Richmond, BC.  I enjoy helping contribute and build a strong community for all of us to enjoy and celebrate.

I’m also proud to announce that I’ve been recently nominated for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
