Cops for Cancer 2011 Tour de Rock | Vancouver Island
Through our extended U-Lock family we are proud to support one of the riders participating in this years Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock on Vancouver Island. Throughout this 2 week event police officers ride over 1,000 kms from the northern tip of Vancouver Island to the south, raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society which uses the funds for childhood cancer research and programs that help children with cancer and their families.
Everyone knows someone who’s life has been affected by cancer. Please help Rod reach his fund raising goal by donating here.
Moving to Vancouver Island
Many people moving to Vancouver Island are in retirement or semi-retirement or are downsizing their homes. You can store your cherished belongings at our U-Lock locations in Victoria and Nanaimo, but you need resources to find other things too. This is where the Vancouver Island Seniors Resource Guide and the Vancouver Island Travel and Entertainment Guide can come in handy. In these Resources you can find everything from hotels and restaurants, to local farmers markets to health care products, to the always important BC Ferries Schedule.

Self Storage Industry
Here at U-Lock Mini Storage, we like to know what others in the storage industry are doing, and the one blog we enjoy reading most is Manhattan Mini Storage. They have great storage tips with a New York twist, interesting contests we wish we could enter and offer a glimpse into tiny living spaces. Take a look at this post where they mention a building where one floor has been converted into 30 cubicles that are 64 square feet of living space each, wow I can’t even imagine.
