At U-Lock Mini Storage we are concerned about the environment. Mini Storage can be thought of as a green industry, rather than sending your items to the landfill, keep them in storage until you need them again, or find a new home for them.

We have researched the best energy saving options, our lighting systems are on timers or motion detected, and we have participated in BC Hydro’s power saving assessment and followed their recommendations for energy efficient lighting systems. Our storage boxes that we sell have a recycled component to them, we promote the use of Frog Box an eco friendly reusable plastic box for moving.

At the U-Lock facility in WestShore we have built rain gardens – a  rainwater management system for the processing of the water flow to help reduce erosion from the natural flow of water after a rain. The gardens regulate how quickly the water is released into the environment.
